Bridges

A bridge is a means of replacing a missing tooth with an artifical tooth (called a “pontic”) which is rigidly held in place by the adjacent tooth or teeth. This will involve crowning the supporting teeth as show in the video.

Alternatively metal wings can be used to support the artificial tooth which are bonded to the back of the supporting tooth/teeth, these are referred to as “Maryland Bridges” or “Resin Retained Bridges”.
